Chemical resistance refers to a container material's ability to maintain its properties when exposed to various chemicals. HDPE is known for excellent chemical resistance to acids, bases, alcohols, and many solvents. However, HDPE can be affected by strong oxidizers, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons.
