Stacking Strength

Stacking Strength

The maximum weight a container can support when stacked vertically during storage and shipping.

Stacking strength is the maximum compressive load a container can withstand when stacked vertically. For 5-gallon HDPE pails, stacking strength is influenced by wall thickness, material grade, and container design. Proper stacking prevents container deformation, product damage, and safety hazards. ASTM D4169 provides standard testing methods for evaluating container stacking performance under real-world conditions.
