Wire Bail Handle

Wire Bail Handle

A U-shaped metal wire handle attached to the rim of a pail for carrying and pouring.

A wire bail handle is a galvanized steel wire formed into a U-shape and attached to metal ears (lugs) riveted to opposite sides of a pail's rim. The handle swings freely for carrying and locks upright for pouring. Wire bail handles are standard on most 5-gallon HDPE pails and can support the full weight of a loaded pail (up to 60 lbs). Some handles include a plastic or rubber grip for comfort. The handle attachment points are reinforced to prevent pull-out under heavy loads.
